Kratom, a herbal nootropic

Kratom has been an integral part of Southeast Asian cultures for centuries. It’s an evergreen tropical tree, known as Mitragyna speciosa, from the coffee plant family. The tree is native to Indonesia and Thailand, the countries where we source our kratom products. Kratom is able to be taken as a herbal tea supplement. The plant promotes the feelings of calm, well being. The active ingredient in kratom is called mitragynine. Mitragynine binds to receptors in the brain providing pain relief. 

There are 3 main veins of kratom: green, red, and white. The use of the word ‘Vein’ is a reference to the leaf venation that is found on the undersides of the Kratom leaf itself.
